It's the go-to network for thousands of Britons, but it appears that Vodafone is experiencing an outage this morning. 

According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 06:20 GMT, and are affecting users across the UK. 

Vodafone told MailOnline that it is 'aware that some customers are experiencing issues'.

'Some customers have experienced issues using our network. We're sorry for the inconvenience,' a spokesperson told MailOnline. 

'We have identified and isolated the problem and for many affected customers normal service has now been restored. Our team is working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.' +4 View gallery

So far, more than 3,000 issues with Vodafone have been logged on Down Detector  Advertisement

So far, more than 3,000 issues have been logged on Down Detector. 

Of those who reported issues, 56 per cent said they were struggling with mobile internet, while 36 per cent said the problem was with their mobile phone. 

The remaining five per cent reported an issue with their landline internet. 

Down Detector gets network status updates from various sources including social media and reports submitted to its website.

Several frustrated users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the outage. 

'Is Vodafone down for anyone? Not receiving any texts or calls,' one user wrote. 

Another tweeted: 'Vodafone in London is down?????!!! 

'I am not getting any connection, having to use wifi. Anyone else got this issue??'

And one vented: 'I mean it would be nice if Vodafone could actually issue an update on what's going on to their customers.'

While many users have tagged Vodafone to ask what has caused the problem, the firm does not appear to be acknowledging the outage on X. 

In response to one user, it simply suggested using the network status tracked on its website. 

This hasn't proved fruitful for users however, with one replying to the suggestion: 'That is an absolute waste of time, I've already done it and it states there's no network issues in my area which is a complete lie.
